The science of HIPFIT10

An easier approach to hip recovery

We spent decades treating patients with hip disorders like femoroacetabular impingement, labral tears, early osteoarthritis, and other ailments. Over time, we recognized a pattern in many of our patients: They were not getting the correct physiotherapy.

This is a huge missed opportunity—the chance to heal before turning to surgery.

From our leading published research, we have demonstrated that patients who complete a dedicated core strengthening program are more likely to achieve a pain-free life than those who focus on the wrong muscle groups.

The reason for this, we believe, is the ability to control pelvic tilt and avoid painful hip loading moments. We designed HipFit10 with that in mind: to strengthen the muscles that lift the pelvis.

Here you’ll find a 10-minute program that you can complete at home 4 to 5 times per week. It’s a chance at the right physiotherapy at no cost. HipFit10 is a medically proven way to overcome hip pain and return to normal.

A proven routine with real results

Before

BeforeHipFit.jpeg

This is a pelvic x-ray of a person who had hip pain, just like you. Despite the patient standing upright, we can see right through the pelvic ring - it appears like a circle. This is caused by an imbalance in the muscle groups that control pelvic tilt, and leaves this patient susceptible to hip impingement and pain.

After

AfterHipFit.jpeg

After 6 months of HipFit10, a repeat x-ray on the same patient shows that the pelvis is no longer tilted forward. Stronger abdominal muscles are lifting the pelvis from the front, while stronger hamstrings and glutes are simultaneously pulling the pelvis down at the back. This corrects pelvic posture to reduce joint impingement, improves bracing strength, and prevents pain amid a range of motion.
